Juxtaposition Arts (JXTA) is a nationally acclaimed youth education center, gallery, retail shop, and artist studio dedicated to empowering young urban artists through hands-on education and creative opportunities. For over fifteen years, 4RM+ULA has collaborated with JXTA, supporting its mission to help youth develop self-sufficiency and a strong creative identity. In 2022, JXTA completed a new state-of-the-art facility along with renovations to two adjacent properties, following a lengthy fundraising effort amid the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, social unrest, and economic recession. This new building represents a major milestone for JXTA and the community it serves, marking the culmination of years of advocacy, planning, and support.‍

‍The completed facility has become a dynamic and future forward space, standing as a beacon of hope and opportunity on West Broadway. The project is already a point of pride for the community, students, and alumni, and it is expected to further ignite revitalization efforts in the neighborhood. With its innovative design and commitment to youth empowerment, JXTA’s new facility will not only serve as a center for artistic development but also as a landmark symbolizing the intersection of creativity, community, and opportunity.
